Paul hess, Example of work.

This is a piece by Paul Hess. This piece of work was incredibly time consuming and done very traditionally. Its completely drawn and painted. Paul uses stages to come to his final outcome. First he creates thumbnails which will determine the layout of the piece of work. Then he sketches the whole thing out roughly to get the shape of everything right. Then he uses another piece of paper and traces it in detail. The final drawn piece would then be painted using water colours. Paul specialises in water colours and I think they are absolutely amazing. the colours and texture are stunning. His work gets used mainly for children's books and have bin very successful.
